Contemporary dance
Siberia is a contemporary dance company created in 2016 by Paloma Muñoz, dancer and choreographer from Extremadura based in Barcelona. The creations of Siberia have as their main engine of creation the body and its expressive capacity.
The dance they do is an articulated, plastic, highly physical and demanding dance. It has something excessive, detailed and sensual. At the same time it can be elegant and brutal.The essence of Siberia is in the contrast between abstraction and the concepts that inspire us and the sweat of the bodies we work with. And in their repertoire they deal with themes that have to do with the world around us, with the present present, from the corporeal and the aesthetic to the evocative.
