With VÉNUS ANATOMIQUE, Sarah Baltzinger signs a new piece immersing five women in a horrific and absurd universe, between anatomical study and feminist fiction. The choreographer invites the spectator to enter a VENUS factory that reveals identical and «almost human» bodies. By working on the idea of proliferating dysfunctional female models, Sarah Baltzinger wishes to push the notion of standardization to the limit and to work on the dislocated and mechanical kit bodies that try to patch themselves up no matter what.
