PLI brings together 22 conference chairs, obsessive rhythm and one devotedman. On a small platform, Viktor Černický dives resolutely into the effort forindefinite construction, reconstruction and deconstruction of the Universe.
The outcome is an intelligent and playful solo - a physical metaphore for endlesshuman dynamics, patience and striving that turns even the most ordinaryobjects into incredible pieces of architecture.
Following the baroque philosophy of Gottfried Willhelm Leibniz, PLI is anunpredictable and humorous performance where baroque robustness isreplaced with spatial modesty and material minimalism.
Leibniz brings together the seemingly impossible. He makes us wonder aboutthe complexity and refinement of this World by using very simple principles. He multiplies and folds them in every possible way and so many times that, inthe end, we all face the Creation as a sophisticated piece of architecture.
Extremely rich in details, greatly elaborate in style, robustly shaped and hardto believe, and yet very simple, modest and absolutely true.
